Hope City Kids

Elementary

Our Mission.

The mission of Hope City Kids is to bring HOPE to our children and families by introducing them to Jesus. We want to see the lost saved, the saved discipled, and the discipled discipling others. Our prayer is that every student who comes through Hope City’s Kids Ministries would accept Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior, develop a relationship with Jesus, and learn how to pray effectively. We want to help our students come into a greater knowledge of the Bible by studying its characters, stories, and principles as well as train and equip our students to in turn bring HOPE to others by introducing them to Jesus. We provide children’s services for your kids ages 6 weeks through 5th grade during all of our Sunday morning services.

What to Expect

  • First Visit:

When you bring your kids to Hope City for the first time, our team will meet you at our First Time Guest check-in kiosk where you will fill out a new family registration card to tell us a little bit about your family.

Be sure to tell us about any allergies your child may have. Our team will then get your family added to our system and will be able to check in your kids and print both parent and child tags for you. Be sure to hold on to those parent tags as you will need them to pick up your kids after service.

  • Check - In.

Before service each week, the Check-In Team will be there to greet you and assist with checking your child in. Both you and your child will receive a set of stickers with a matching code, also known as a “parent tag”. This sticker is what you’ll use to pick up your child after the service. If we need to reach you for any reason, you’ll see your child’s code on the screen in the Main Auditorium during service.

  • Service.

During service your children will experience engaging worship and sound Biblical teaching. They will spend much of their time in age-specific small groups, connecting with children their age and with small group leaders where we hope they will open up, share, ask questions, and feel supported as they grow in their faith. We make an effort to focus on scripture memorization as the Bible tells us to hide His Word in our hearts (Psalm 119:11) and we believe this helps build a Biblical foundation for their lives and fills their hearts and minds with God’s truth.

  • Safety

In Hope City Kids, we are committed to safety, and it is the heart of our children’s ministry to make every effort to ensure the safety and well-being of every child. With this in mind, we do not allow anyone into our classrooms without a corresponding parent tag. In addition, all team members serving in a Hope City Kids area go through a screening process, background check, and are trained in safety and security protocols before serving. Once in our care, a child is not allowed to be picked up by anyone who does not have a parent tag with the code that coincides with the one on his/her sticker. If a parent tag has been lost, photo identification must be presented at the check-in desk or to a staff member and matched with the guardian information on the registered account. If a need arises or you have any questions, please contact a staff member and they will be happy to assist you.

  • Partnering with Parents

At Hope City Kids Elementary, we are dedicated to partnering with parents to lead children to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Through age-specific lessons, activities, and age-specific small groups, children ages kindergarten through 5th grade learn biblical truths and real-life lessons they can apply to their lives every week in HCK. We send home a family devotional each week for you and your child(ren) to complete together to review and reinforce the principles and scripture covered in HCK that week.

  • Drop off/Pick - Up.

Once your child is checked in and arrives at the HCK room on his/her sticker, our leaders will be ready to greet your family. At the end of service, a team member will verify that your parent tag code matches the code on your child’s tag before he/she is released into your care. In the event of a lost sticker, we will direct you to one of our staff members who will use your photo identification as an alternative to the parent tag to verify information from your registration and check out your child.

3 John 1:4 NIV

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

Your little ones have a chance to earn “Hope Bucks” in various ways that include: bringing a Bible, memorizing the monthly verse, participating in worship or Bible lessons, and completing the weekly take-home devotions.
