Hope City Kids
Preschool/Nursery
Our Mission.
The mission of Hope City Kids Preschool/Nursery is to bring HOPE to our children and families by introducing them to Jesus. We want to see the lost saved, the saved discipled, and the discipled discipling others and that starts even with our youngest children. We pray that every child accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior and begins a life-long relationship with Him. Through warm, age-appropriate classrooms and worship environments, interactive play and teachings of Biblical principles, children ages 6 weeks through 5 years old will be taught three basic truths: God Made Me, God Loves Me, and Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever. We provide children’s services for your kids ages 6 weeks through 5th grade during all of our Sunday morning services.

What to Expect
-
First Visit:
When you bring your kids to Hope City for the first time, our team will meet you at our First Time Guest check-in kiosk where you will fill out a New Family registration card to tell us a little bit about your family. Our team will then get your family added to our system and will be able to check in your kids and print both parent and child tags for you.
What to Bring:
You only need to bring the essentials such as a pacifier, bottle or cup, and a bag to hold your child’s things. Please remember to label all your child’s items with their first and last name so you don’t lose anything. HCK is a peanut free environment. For safety reasons, please do not bring outside food as we serve Cheerios for snack.
-
Check - In.
Before service each week, the Check-In Team will be there to greet you and assist with checking your child in. Both you and your child will receive a set of stickers with a matching code, also known as a “parent tag”. This sticker is what you’ll use to pick up your child after the service. If we need to reach you for any reason, you’ll see your child’s code on the screen in the Main Auditorium during service.
-
Drop Off/Pick Up
Once your child is checked in and arrives at the HCK Preschool/Nursery room on his/her sticker, our leaders will be ready to greet your family. At the end of service, a team member will verify that your parent tag code matches the code on your child’s tag before he/she is released into your care. In the event of a lost sticker, please report to the Check-In Desk where a volunteer or one of our staff members will use your photo identification as an alternative to the parent tag to verify information from your registration and check out your child.
-
Safety
In Hope City Kids, we are committed to safety, and it is the heart of our children’s ministry to make every effort to ensure the safety and well-being of every child. With this in mind, we do not allow anyone into our classrooms without a corresponding parent tag. In addition, all team members serving in a Hope City Kids area go through a screening process, background check, and are trained in safety and security protocols before serving. Once in our care, a child is not allowed to be picked up by anyone who does not have a parent tag with the code that coincides with the one on his/her sticker. If a parent tag has been lost, photo identification must be presented at the check-in desk or to a staff member and matched with the guardian information on the registered account. If a need arises or you have any questions, please contact a staff member and they will be happy to assist you.

Nursery - 6 weeks-12 months
Your child will experience personal care from our well-staffed team. We keep our nursery rooms ready for your little ones with age-appropriate toys that are thoroughly cleaned between services.
We know babies have specific needs and schedules, so when you bring your child to the classroom, we have an easy-to-use form that you can fill out to let our team know the feeding, sleeping, and changing needs your child has. We also take time to love and pray for your child each week.
-
Preschool - 1-5 Years
Our rooms are designed with your child in mind. From age-appropriate toys and special service elements just for them, our team is ready to care for and have fun with your little one during service.
In our 1-2 y/o and 3-5 y/o preschool classes, children start to engage more with their church experience. We help them interact with their friends, form relationships with their teachers, and build their faith in God. Each week they will engage with stories, video lessons, small groups, and worship songs that give them Biblical truths.
Psalm 127:3-4 NIV
“Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.”
Baby/Child Dedication
What is a baby/child dedication?
Baby/Child dedications are for parents to present their child before God and the church, agreeing to seek after His grace and wisdom in carrying out their parenting responsibilities.
It is a commitment to raise your child to understand that they are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, to believe that the Bible is absolutely Truth, and to know the importance of a community of faith through the local church.
Baby dedications are modeled throughout scripture.
Hannah brought her long- awaited son, Samuel to the priest Eli to dedicate him to the Lord (1 Samuel 1:24-28)
Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the temple for his dedication (Luke 2:21-31)
When are baby/child dedications hosted?
We host our baby dedications the 3rd week of every month for children ages 6 weeks - 1 year and we do one baby dedication per service (9:00am and 11:00am). We encourage you to invite family members to join you for this special occasion. We will invite the family to join you at the stage and after we dedicate your child to the Lord, will pray a blessing over your household.
If your child is older than one year, we will still perform the child dedication but we will do it between services rather than during the service.
Parent Commitments
Because parents are the key role models for their children, we ask that they commit to the following before dedicating their child:
I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
I regularly attend Hope City Sunday services and am following Christ in my own life.
I agree with our church's beliefs and values, which can be found in our statement of faith.
I commit to modeling personal purity and to lead by example in matters of faith and conduct. That means living a life of sexual purity according to God's standards.
